Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), is a combat sport in which a wide variety of fighting techniques are used, including striking and grappling. The striking techniques utilized are from Boxing and Muay Thai. The Grappling is a blend of Wrestling, Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The Mixed Martial Arts program is reserved for those enrolled in our Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu programs. The student must hold a minimun of a Green rank in Muay Thai and 3 - stripes on his/her White Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Class Description: The classes, 1 hour in length, begin with the first 10 minutes dedicated solely to warming up and stretching of the muscles. The remainder of the class consists of various techniques and drills sports specific to Mixed Martial Arts, including but not limited to ringmanship, cage techniques, grappling and striking for MMA. There will be time alloted at the end of every class for sparring.
